Ingredients:
- 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
- 2 tbsp sesame oil or vegetable oil
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 carrot, julienned
- 3 green onions, chopped
- 1 tsp ginger, grated
- 2 tbsp hoisin sauce (or teriyaki sauce for extra flavor)
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions:
- Marinate beef slices in soy sauce for 5 minutes.
- In a large skillet or wok, heat sesame oil over high heat. Add beef and cook for 2-3 minutes, until browned. Remove from skillet.
- Add bell pepper, broccoli, and carrot to the skillet. Stir-fry for 5 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Add green onions, ginger, and hoisin sauce, and return beef to the skillet. Toss to combine, cooking for another 2 minutes.
- Serve with rice or noodles, and garnish with sesame seeds.
Variations:
- Vegan: Use tofu instead of beef.
- Low-sodium: Use low-sodium soy sauce and reduce hoisin sauce.
